AKMODEL GROUP MD, BUILDER (DR.) ABDULHAKEEM ODEGADE, REACTS TO THE ABDUCTION OF SCHOOL CHILDREN IN OGBOMOSHO
The reported abduction of school children in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, is a tragic reminder of the security challenges confronting our nation and an incident that should concern every responsible citizen.
As a father, community leader, and Managing Director of Akmodel Group, I strongly condemn this reprehensible act carried out against innocent children whose only pursuit was education and a brighter future. The targeting of school children by criminals is unacceptable and threatens the confidence of parents, educators, and communities across the country.
I extend my heartfelt sympathies to the affected families who are currently going through unimaginable pain and uncertainty. My thoughts are also with the school authorities and the people of Ogbomosho as they await the safe return of these young pupils.
I respectfully urge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Seyi Makinde, security agencies, traditional institutions, community leaders, and all relevant stakeholders to intensify collaborative efforts toward securing the immediate release of these children. Every available intelligence and operational resource should be mobilized to ensure that they are rescued safely and reunited with their families without delay.
Furthermore, this unfortunate incident underscores the urgent need for stronger protection of schools and learning environments across Nigeria. Our children deserve to learn in safety, free from fear and intimidation. The future of any nation depends on how well it protects its young people.
I also call for swift justice against the perpetrators of this crime. Criminals must not be allowed to continue threatening the peace and stability of our communities without consequences.
As a nation, we must stand united against kidnapping and all forms of insecurity. Together, we can build a society where every child can dream, learn, and grow in a secure environment.
May God grant the families strength during this difficult time and ensure the speedy rescue of these children and others who remain in captivity.
