President Bola Tinubu has approved the immediate retirement of all the heads of the country’s armed forces and the Inspector-General of Police.
This was contained in a statement signed by Willie Bassey, Director of Information, Office of the Secretary to the Federal Government.
The president also approved names of persons to take over from the retired service chiefs.
The new security heads will be working in acting capacity pending the confirmation of their appointments by the Senate.

Ribadu will take over from Babagana Monguno as National Security Adviser.
