Sunday Oliseh, revered former captain and coach of the Nigerian Super Eagles, is in mourning following the death of his younger brother, Uche Levi Oliseh. Uche, aged 51, passed away on Thursday, July 17, after a brief but severe bout of malaria.
In an emotional post on X (formerly Twitter), Oliseh expressed profound grief:
“Sadly, I lost my brother, Uche Levi Oliseh, on Thursday after a brief illness with malaria fever. It hurts so bad, like I have never felt before. I have over a million things that I would wanna talk, laugh and do with Uche, but sadly I cannot anymore.”
