Pascal Dozie, the founder of the now-closed Diamond Bank and former Chairman of MTN Nigeria, has passed away.
According to his family, he died after a short illness.
Born on April 9, 1939, Dozie was the son of Charles Dozie, a Catholic catechist. He began his education at Our Lady’s School in Emekuku, and later attended Holy Ghost Juniorate Seminary and Holy Ghost College in Owerri, where he completed his secondary school education.
He later travelled to the United Kingdom, where he earned a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics. He also studied Operational Research and Industrial Engineering, and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Administrative Science from City University in London.
Pascal Dozie is survived by his wife, Chinyere, and their five children.
