The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has summoned Subomi and Wahab, sons of billionaire businessman Razaq Okoya, for questioning over alleged abuse of the naira.
The Okoya brothers gained attention recently after a video surfaced online showing them engaging in actions deemed as “abusing” the naira.
A police officer seen in the viral video has been identified and taken into custody by the Nigeria Police Force.
The delay in the brothers’ arrest has sparked widespread outrage on social media.
On Saturday, it was reported that the anti-graft agency has summoned the two individuals to appear before the head of the Special Operations team at the EFCC office located at 15A Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Monday, January 13, 2025, for questioning.
The invitation was issued by Michael Wetkas, the acting director of the Lagos Directorate of the EFCC.
