Defending champion and World record holder, Tobi Amusan of Nigeria on Wednesday night, 23 August, 2023, qualified for the final of the 100m hurdles event at the ongoing World Athletics Championship going on in Budapest, Hungary.
Amusan won her semi final heat 2 with a time of 12.56 seconds.
The defending World Champion had to dig in dip to beat her Jamaican counterpart in the second semi final piping the Jamaican at the finishing line.
Amusan would however need to better on Thursday night, 24 August, 2023 when the final takes place.
Of all the eight qualifiers for the final, she had the second slowest time.
